Funeral Celebrant in West Sussex and Beyond

Ten years ago I found myself arranging the funeral service for my father. A process I found strangely therapeutic. By having the freedom to choose my dads music that I know he would have loved (he had an extremely eclectic taste) and choosing the readings that best reflected him, we gave him a cracking send off.

He was a bright, humorous chap and this certainly shone through during the ceremony.

As we stood by the flowers outside the chapel a friend came to me and said “That wasn’t a funeral, that was a party”. Yey!! I had captured my father’s spirit perfectly.

I know how daunting it can all seem, suddenly you are faced with endless paper work, decisions to make, people to inform and all through a fog of grief. Maybe your loved one didn’t listen to music, or they preferred to live a private life so you felt you hardly knew them. You just don’t know where to start.

Please don’t panic!

How does this work?

I can come to your home and over a cuppa (and a biscuit please) we can gently talk about your loved one, unravel some of the fabric of their life and create a beautiful ceremony.

I can help you with music ideas, readings, and if you would like to incorporate a prayer and a hymn that’s also fine with me (I love singing a hymn).

You may feel either yourself, a friend/family member would like to speak during the ceremony but feel unsure as to whether they will be able to on the day. Don’t worry I’ll have your back. As long as I have a copy of the words I can be there to help or take over if need be.

Funerals and memorials from £220.

You can guarantee the ceremony will be delivered from the heart, with love, sincerity and a smile.
Get in touch, let’s see how I can help you.
